SAFETY POLICY
H.O.P.E.- HORSES OFFER PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT
General Safety Info
Horses Offer Personal Empowerment (dba. H.O.P.E. as referred to hereafter) strives to provide the safest possible place (online and at our physical location) for participants, volunteers, staff and visitors to enjoy the benefits of equine-related experiences. Horses can react unpredictably to different situations, even though our herd is well-trained and used to the inf-flux of new people. It is our duty to bring this to the attention of anyone visiting our premises or website. Working with horses can be a risky activity, and our goal is to inform all participants of the potential dangers so they can be made aware. This is our due diligence on our website, and it will be reiterated in person verbally AND in writing. Liability forms must be signed by ALL participants, visitors AND volunteers before visiting our facilities or interacting with our horses/property in any way.
Things to keep in mind when coming to H.O.P.E.:
- You must have permission from a H.O.P.E. Team Member to be on premises during non-business hours or break weeks. Scheduling appointments for your session or visit is mandatory, however, scheduling is somewhat flexible. Contact us to see how we can further accommodate your needs.
- NO SMOKING on H.O.P.E.'s premises to avoid fires and respect the other guests seeking time with our horses and at our stables. We respectfully ask that you abide by our No Smoking Policy. If you feel you need a smoking break, please do so ONLY in your personal vehicle.
