SERVICES

Horses, like people, are social creatures. They live in a herd and interact dynamically with one another. You will see the elements of awareness, communication, trust, respect, boundaries, relationships, and leadership within their herd. Being in the presence of horses, observing them in the field, grooming or doing groundwork, leads to important life lessons that can be applied to everyday issues.

Horses truly do offer personal empowerment. We're here to bring that power to the people that need it most! We believe these novel experiences with our horses can have a positive impact on everyone. That's why we've opened up Majestic Acres to the public under the non-profit organization H.O.P.E.

Our team, horses & humans alike, can make a difference! Check out how by viewing our services and the people we serve below.

VETERANS & VETERAN FAMILIES

Most importantly, Thank you for your service.

Horses have been recognized for their restorative benefits for individuals suffering from PTSD, with equine-assisted experiences showing significant positive impacts. A study conducted by the Journal of Traumatic Stress found that interacting with horses can decrease symptoms of PTSD, improving mood, and helping individuals develop coping mechanisms. The calming presence of horses, along with the physical and emotional connection formed during equine-assisted sessions, can provide a sense of comfort and empowerment to those dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

For veterans and their families who often experience severe PTSD due to their active-duty military service, working with horses can be a life-changing experience. At H.O.P.E. we understand the unique challenges faced by veterans and active-duty members of our military. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where they can interact with our intuitive horses. By participating, veterans can experience a sense of camaraderie, trust, and healing. The bond formed between a veteran and their horse at Majestic Acres can serve as a powerful tool in overcoming PTSD and rediscovering personal empowerment.

Engaging with these genuine animals can spark a newfound interest and hobby for young individuals, giving them a sense of purpose and belonging in the process. By immersing themselves in the world of horses, participants not only gain valuable skills and knowledge but also form connections with others in the equestrian community, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support that can positively impact their lives.

We believe in the healing power of horses and the profound impact they can have on the lives of at-risk youth. Through our programs, participants have the opportunity to develop important life skills such as communication, empathy, and trust as they engage in meaningful interactions with our gentle four-legged partners. FOSTER CARE

We understand the unique challenges that children in foster care face on a daily basis. Many of these children have experienced trauma, instability, and a lack of consistent support systems, which can lead to emotional and behavioral struggles. Through nature and our equine experiences and programs, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for these kids to trust and grow.

Interacting with horses can have profound benefits for children in foster care. Horses are highly intuitive animals that can sense a person's emotions and respond in a calm, non-judgmental manner. For kids who may have difficulty trusting others or expressing their feelings, forming a bond with a horse can be incredibly meaningful. Through activities like grooming, leading, and building a relationship with horses, children in foster care can develop essential life skills such as empathy, communication, responsibility, and self-confidence. H.O.P.E. is dedicated to helping these children build resilience, find their voice, and discover their own path to empowerment through the healing power of our special team, our horses.

SCHOOLS

We believe in the transformative power of equine interactions for children and young adults. That's why we offer tailored equine activities for small school groups and field trips that allow youth to forge meaningful connections with our horses. Our specific equine activities provide hands-on experiences that not only teach children about horses but also instill values of compassion, responsibility, and empathy. Through educational opportunities, youth learn important skills like horse handling and care, facility management, and more, gaining insights into how horses play a vital role in the lives of so many. By interacting with horses in a safe and supportive environment, they can build confidence, develop communication skills, and nurture a sense of respect for not only horses, but all animals.

There are numerous benefits to our youth interacting with horses and learning about them at H.O.P.E. Not only do these experiences foster a sense of connection to nature and animals, but they also promote physical activity and mental well-being. Spending time with horses can teach patience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, enhancing their emotional intelligence and resilience. Additionally, understanding the care and needs of horses fosters a sense of responsibility and empathy, nurturing important values that can positively impact their personal growth and development. By participating in our equine programs, they have fun making memories but also gain valuable life skills that can empower them for years to come.
